Hillary Frank

Hillary has worked in audio since 1999, when she became a contributor to This American Life. She is the creator of the award-winning podcast The Longest Shortest Time and author and illustrator of Weird Parenting Wins, as well as three young adult novels. She is afraid of butterflies.

  • Olivia "Ollie" Grishaber

    Ollie is a senior at Kinder High School for the Performing Arts. Here Lies Me is her first professional acting experience. She is also a Garfield enthusiast and enjoys collecting Garfield merchandise, including a signed print by Jim Davis himself.

  • Rafael Pina

    LITTLE GOD

    Rafael is from Houston, Texas and currently attends Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. His two biggest influences are Michael Keaton and Gilbert Gottfried. He never goes to bed without a bowl of cereal.

  • Grant Eason

    SEB

    Grant is a senior at the Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts studying acting. In his free time, he enjoys skateboarding, watching Hell’s Kitchen, spending time with friends, and long walks on the beach. Although he has performed in multiple musicals and plays, Here Lies Me is his first professional voice acting role. Another first: Grant ate his first hamburger in 2021.

    Rebecca is a senior in high school. Doing math calms her down—especially counting the Fibonacci sequence.

  • Anna Marie Tobin

    Anna Marie is a freshman director at Pace University. They are excited to explore all media forms of theatre. When Anna Marie is lonely, they talk to their seven birds and two cats.

  • Emma Ogier

    O

    Emma is a senior at Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. She is an aspiring singer-songwriter and next year hopes to major in music business, audio engineering, and/or songwriting. Emma can eat pickles for every meal.

  • Luca Jarosz

    HUNTER

    Luca is a proud Houstonian currently studying acting at California Institute of the Arts. He still sleeps with a night light. Shout-out to Mom, Dad, and Isabella for being the best!

  • Julian Cotom

    RANDOM KID

    Julian is a freshman in college. His hobbies include acting, playing music, and writing. He loves eating durian—one of the worst smelling fruits in the world.

  • Vineeth Nadella

    BIG GOD

    Vineeth is senior at Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. He plans to pursue theatre and performance and hopes to diversify the voices and stories we see on the silver screen. Vineeth loves rom-coms so much that he once spent a week watching a rom-com every single day.

  • Savannah Coyne

    KAYLEIGH / OLIVIA

    Savannah was born in France and raised in France and Saudi Arabia. She currently studies musical theatre at Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. She eats scrambled eggs with Nutella.

  • Anna Grace Hethcox

    Anna Grace is a theatrical design major at Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. She is a vegetarian with a passion for antique taxidermy.

  • Chloe Vuong

    Chloe is a sophomore at Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, majoring in musical theatre. She has kissed a camel. Twice!

  • Sasha Menjivar

    ABBY

    Sasha is in sixth grade and loves playing the drums. She is double-jointed in both thumbs and one pointer finger.

  • Matt Hune

    DAD

    Matt is co-founder and Artistic Director of Rec Room Arts in downtown Houston, Texas, where he is dedicated to energizing a new generation of theatre artists and audiences. He is also a faculty member in the acting program at HSPVA and teaches acting in the graduate Opera Studies program at the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University. He always wears black T-shirts, except for the summertime, when he wears white T-shirts.

  • Rob Huebel

    COACH

    Rob is a comedian and actor best known for his TV roles on Childrens Hospital and Transparent. He also played George Clooney's best friend in the movie The Descendants so they are pretty much best friends in real life probably. Rob sometimes bleaches his teeth.

  • Judith Miller

    MRS. WINTERBOTTOM

    Judith lives in California and has enjoyed playing numerous diverse characters in many San Francisco Bay Area theaters. She was blessed with the rare gift of being able to clover-leaf her tongue.

  • Julia Oppenheim

    LITTLE GOD’S MOM/AUNT

    Julia is a Houston-based teaching artist, actor, and director who is obsessed with her three dogs. She is unable to stick out her tongue.

  • Candice D'Meza

    DR. ROCKLIN

    Candice is an actor, writer, filmmaker, and multidisciplinary artist. As a kid, she was afraid of sharks being in swimming pools and mercury in thermometers.

  • W. Kamau Bell

    MR. HARDING

    Kamau is a stand-up comedian and the host and executive producer of the Emmy Award winning CNN docu-series United Shades of America with W. Kamau Bell. He’s the ACLU Celebrity Ambassador for Racial Justice and serves on the advisory boards of Hollaback! and Donors Choose. Kamau enjoys watching YouTube videos of ingrown toenails being removed.

  • Michael Chernus

    MR. CURLEY

    Michael is an accomplished film, television, and stage actor perhaps best known for playing Cal Chapman on Orange Is The New Black. He is unable to grow sideburns.

  • June Diane Raphael

    DANI’S MOM

    June is an actress (Grace and Frankie, Long Shot, 8-Bit), comedian, screenwriter, producer, and activist. She is the co-author of Represent: The Woman’s Guide to Running for Office and Changing the World and founder of The Jane Club, a community platform that offers a village of support to Janes who reside across the United States and around the world. June was named after June Cleaver from Leave it to Beaver.
